[ It's taken him a bit of time to make his selection, but Michael feels it in his bones that he's made the right one. Picking out who gets the privilege of helping him be a part of something larger is part of the test, after all. Thankfully, the multicolored attire makes it easy to pick out anyone in Block C, so it's one less thing to think about. Consideration was taken, of course, watching everyone's comings and goings, where guards were lax in attention and foot traffic was light. He didn't need the entire prison to see, he just needed to injure them.

Picking on the weak has never been something he'd consider. Why beat a scared dog when they already knew fear? That's why his attention falls inevitably onto Margo. She's a stronger presence or at least one of the more vocal. There are a few other inmates perusing the library when he enters, so he opts to start browsing. Two birds with one stone, right? Michael is deep in the fiction section when she passes by, and he nods toward the shelf behind him. ]

You wouldn't happen to have any recommendations, would you?

[She gives him a one-eyed once-over, unlit cigarette dangling from her lips in part of an utterly unimpressed expression. The library job was a lucky boon, but not because she's just so fond of reading. Not many people come back here, unless they're a bookish nerd or working diligently on an appeal. It's an easy place to get alone time, and people rarely bother her.

[A little too aggro, maybe, but come on - man approaches hot woman in the stacks and asks for recommendations? When has that ever happened outside of a porno? She's not looking to get bent over a desk by Cher right now.]

[ Rude. He thought he was being perfectly civil, trying to engage her in her own job. It just goes to show that he made the right decision picking someone with such bad manners. Michael gives her a thin, facetious smile. ]

It sounds like you need a bit more self-help in this autobiography of yours.

[And honestly, even that's somewhat facetious. Is she a fallen kingpin looking at a life behind bars due to her own mistakes? Yes. Is she also amazing and flawless? Yes. It's a complicated balance. Get on her level, Mikey. She's above self-deprecation.

[ Michael tuts in disappointment. Surely there has to be a happy medium between drug store romance and spiritual (Christian) awakening. He's been around that particular block and took the side alley. ]

No Wilde or Bradbury? How unfortunate. You'd think even an institution like this would have some respect for classic novels.
